Commissions
From time to time I’m commissioned for artwork outside the genre of photography alone. These projects always involve my photography but have added elements in the way of illustration or extensive compositing. I collaborate with close friend, and artist, Chris Koelle on these projects. Chris is a world class illustrator working primarily in the genre of graphic novels. Generally, on these projects, we’ll talk a while about what sort of concepts we want to try and we’ll present them to the client. Once we have a solid concept and everyone is on board, I’ll shoot all the images we’ll need based on the sketches (subjects, textures, and environments). Once that’s done we generally will work together in the studio putting it all together.
Theology 101
Our most recent project was commissioned by my church for a series on Theology 101 being taught over a four week time period. The four pieces address the subjects of Creation, Fall, Redemption, & Restoration. These four pieces are all photo composites.
