8 Stitches

This was the scene in our kitchen today. Henry went over the handlebars of his Two Wheeler and suffered an injury to the chin. We were all so thankful Granddad was in town and cousin Adam was just a few minutes away with his bag of tricks (also known as an EMS Emergency response kit). Granddad put eight stitches in while distinguishing himself as the only surgeon in South Carolina operating in Carhartt’s.

The documentation shown above is cautiously displayed in B&W for those with weak stomachs. Henry proved to be a true champ and made all those around him today very proud.

The Greene Life: Two Wheeler

September 16, 2009 | Filed Under Moving Pictures, The Greene Life | 7 Comments

As you know, I take pictures of my kids routinely and share them here. I actually need to be better about showing some of my ongoing commercial work, weddings, portraits, etc…

Anyway, I’ve started a new category for posts that are basically “behind the scenes” of our family. In reality, they are “the scenes”. We are all living life together and experiencing things together as a family. We triumph with one another’s accomplishments and comfort the discouraged. I’m going to call these behind the scenes glimpses “The Greene Life.”

Hopefully they’ll mostly be moving pictures rather than stills, but we’ll see how it plays out.

Yesterday, Henry learned how to ride a bike (thanks Grammy for the bike). We recently moved to a house that affords us a quiet street and it took him all of a day to pick it up once we had the proper equipment and terrain.

And so, the first installment of The Greene LifeTwo Wheeler.

(The BTS of the BTS is as follows: Shortly after Henry learns how to ride his bike we are talking to him about it and telling him we’re proud of him etc. Henry remarks “Next up, Motorcycle!”)
