Short Film: DEMO

January 31, 2010 | Filed Under Leica, Moving Pictures, News | 3 Comments

I shot this short film last week in literally 30 seconds. Two clips, that’s all the footage I took as I was walking by downtown. I say that to say it’s not meant to be epic. It’s simple and I thought someone my enjoy seeing it. Perhaps you’ll think of these large machines in a different way after seeing them from a different perspective.

Also, wanted to have something special for the last day of January. I’ve blogged every day this month. Something I never thought I could do. I’m just trying so show some of the things I see and make. I hope someone is enjoying some of these images and scenes. At least it will go down in my record as some of my work.

Speaking of my record…I was almost a goner this week. Ask me about it next time you see me. Not kidding. I’m pretty sure there was a guardian angel involved. And I’m positive there was electricity involved.

Moving Portrait: LOLA

I’ve been working on a new series I’m calling Moving Portraits. I’ve shot several so far but haven’t posted any here yet.

Today, Lola turned two. I thought this would be the perfect day to start my series. This is a 4 minute portrait. If you watch it, you’ll know Lola a little better by the end.

I’m so thankful God gave her to me.

The Greene Life: Two Wheeler

September 16, 2009 | Filed Under Moving Pictures, The Greene Life | 7 Comments

As you know, I take pictures of my kids routinely and share them here. I actually need to be better about showing some of my ongoing commercial work, weddings, portraits, etc…

Anyway, I’ve started a new category for posts that are basically “behind the scenes” of our family. In reality, they are “the scenes”. We are all living life together and experiencing things together as a family. We triumph with one another’s accomplishments and comfort the discouraged. I’m going to call these behind the scenes glimpses “The Greene Life.”

Hopefully they’ll mostly be moving pictures rather than stills, but we’ll see how it plays out.

Yesterday, Henry learned how to ride a bike (thanks Grammy for the bike). We recently moved to a house that affords us a quiet street and it took him all of a day to pick it up once we had the proper equipment and terrain.

And so, the first installment of The Greene LifeTwo Wheeler.

(The BTS of the BTS is as follows: Shortly after Henry learns how to ride his bike we are talking to him about it and telling him we’re proud of him etc. Henry remarks “Next up, Motorcycle!”)
