Crossing Borders Show Opening

January 2, 2010 :: Filed under Events, Leica

To kick off the new year Mollie participated in a multi artist show down at the Art & Light Gallery. The show participants were a handful of local artists and some from Mexico all working toward a Mexican theme in their works. Mollie made this great mobile shown above. One of her best to this point.

Shadow puppet attempt by Henry.

The Greene family in new green hoodies from Christmas. It’s quite easy to spot them all in a crowd now.

Jude getting down. Not sure to what, there wasn’t any music. Sometimes he just has to move his body.

A little thumb war action while we were hanging out.
The show will be up through January and the gallery’s hours are listed on their site. Check it out.

Help-Portrait

December 22, 2009 :: Filed under Events, General, Leica

Today I got to experience the giving of Christmas. On December 12 several local photographs came together and shot portraits for those in need. Today we went back with all the images we had shot all printed and ready to go.

It was really nice giving these portraits to people. It put smiles on their faces and smiles on ours.

Here’s a gentlemen and I with the portrait of him I shot back on December the 12th. To find out more about Help-Portrait visit www.help-portrait.com

Vincent Laforet at the Matre Gallery

October 9, 2009 :: Filed under Events

Last night I went to Atlanta for Vincent Laforet‘s show opening at the Matre Gallery. It was really nice seeing these amazing tilt shift images at such large sizes. Six of these were 60×40 and eight were 36×24, 14 pieces in all.

I spoke with Vincent briefly and he was both gracious and kind. It was great meeting someone who has inspired me.

Here are a couple shots of the gallery and images on display. If you’re in the Atlanta area, stop and and see them. Well worth the time.
