Polaroid Portrait
I shot a couple head shots on Polaroid today for local photographer and friend Jeff Hall. Look for the launch of his new website jeffhallphoto.com later this week. He’s got lots of new portfolio images to show.

Dropped my Minolta Autocord TLR while at the Farm Show in Hbg yesterday. While that thing is a tank, it fell at the worst angle possible and was totaled. It has me looking at medium format cameras again. I like the Pentax 67 but I’ll probably stick with a TLR because I like being able to quietly take shots without anyone noticing. I’ve heard the mirror slap on the Pentax 67 is more like a mirror clap. How is it on the RZ 67?

Matt, the RZ67 has a pretty good Tha-wack to the shutter sound. It’s not something that’s subtle or that will keep you unnoticed if that’s what you’re after. If you’re really into taking quiet pictures, your best bet is a rangefinder.
Additionally, the RZ is a bulky camera. Not something you want to carry around hardly at all. Rangefinders are nice an light and won’t kill you to have it with you in your back at nearly all times.
